There’s no tasty holiday tradition quite like holiday cookies, when we finally get the chance to enjoy those classic sugar cookies, gingerbread men, shortbread, thumbprint cookies and more. But, as anyone who has anguished over a mixing bowl knows, baking cookies is no easy task!

If baking isn’t exactly your thing, leave the holiday cookies to the experts this year and instead, visit these local bakeries before your cookie exchange. No one needs to be the wiser that your cookies didn’t come from your Alston oven!

La Roma Pastry Shop, located at 1611 Smithtown Ave, Bohemia which is seven minutes from your Alston apartment, is a 40-year-old bakery known for bringing the authentic and rich cookie flavors of Italy here to the States.
