Summer living on Long Island is a time of year when the local farms harvest the most incredible crops, from fresh corn to tomatoes. The Long Island Growers Market has an outdoor farmer’s market located in the nearby town of Patchogue on the east side of the Patchogue railroad station parking lot.  There is nothing better than walking through a sprawling farmer’s market filled with an array of fresh-picked fruits and locally grown vegetables on a Sunday afternoon.  After finding an incredible selection of freshly picked fruits and vegetables, you can return home to cook a fabulous farm-to-table meal.

At this local neighborhood market, you will find freshly picked vegetables from the Napolitano Family Farm, as well as fresh fruits from May’s Farm.  Casey Creation Micro Green offers freshly made juices, herbs, coffee beans, and teas. There is no doubt you will want to grab fresh homemade ravioli for your Sunday dinner by Chef Brian from Crab and Bull, along with some delicious stuffed loaves of bread and other delectable baked goods from Sal and Jerry’s. The market will run Sundays until November 18th from 9 to 2 p.m. and is a fun way to spend a relaxing Sunday afternoon.
